Back in September, Justin Peters was in town to do a seminar on the Word of Faith movement. While he was in town, I had the privilege to sit down with him and talk about his ministry and his seminars. This episode is, in essence, a summary of many of the major points that he discusses in his seminar.
Justin is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages in 2000 and a Master of Theology in 2002. He is a full time evangelist, with a ministry composed of expository preaching and presenting his seminars critiquing the Word of Faith movement. He is from Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Some of the Word of Faith teachers that we discussed include: Benny Hinn, Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Jesse Duplantis, and Todd Bentley. We discussed the origins of Word of Faith movement, heresies taught by the movement, and many of the things that go on at their “revival meetings.”
For more about Justin, you can visit his website at justinpeters.org. If Justin is going to be in your area, I highly recommend his seminar. If he isn't , he sells a set of DVDs of the seminar, available at his website.
Special thanks to Martha Mac, Rick Wagner, and Sandy Russel of SO4J-TV & Video Productions, who brought Justin to town to do the seminar, and went out of their way to help arrange this interview.

Justin Peters’ work has helped so many people! Thank you!
You’re very welcome. It was such a pleasure to spend time with Justin! And I was greatly honored that he would take the time to do this interview. I pray that the Lord would continue to richly bless him and his ministry.
Saw Justin Peters the first time on “Wretched”, a Christian talk show with Todd Friel. He really does have quite a touching testimony. The empty promises of Word-of-faith, and prosperity preachers leave many disillusioned and dispairing when the things that they promise do not come true.
