A Temporary Win

The Supreme Court has ruled that the phrase “under God” will remain in the Pledge of Allegiance, for now. They left their ruling wide open to be reconsidered in the near future though. The reason for their decision was that the man who brought the suit, Michael Newdow, had no legal grounds to bring the suit in the first place, since he did not have legal custody of his daughter, for whom he brought the suit.

I pray that when the next Left-Liberal Atheistic God-Hating wacko brings a similar suit, the Court will do the right thing and rule against them as well, but on the grounds that, in the words of Chief Justice Rehnquist “The phrase ‘under God' in the Pledge seems, as a historical matter, to sum up the attitude of the nation's leaders”.
