On the day of Christmas Eve, I got a package from Cafepress.com. I had ordered a few things from my online store a few days before and they had finally arrived. I wanted to see the quality of the stuff I was selling. I have to say, I was quite impressed. The T-Shirts, upon close inspection, were created from an iron-on, but was done well enough that I first thought it was a traditional screening. I also got a coffee mug and a mouse pad. Both were also done very well. The hat I bought could have been done nicer though. It looked like my design was printed on a patch with an ink-jet and sewn to the hat. It wasn't surprising though, as I had read that Cafepress is discontinuing hats when I ordered.
I'm not sharing this to try to get people to buy stuff from my store, but rather to share my experience. A cool thing about Cafepress is that you can custom order stuff from their site without opening a store. You just upload an image file and it gets put onto whatever you want to order. If you have a cool idea for a t-shirt or coffee mug, but don't know where to go to get a prototype made, Cafepress is a good place to start.
