I found a post on another blog that copied some text from mine and pasted it on his own. He chose not to cite or link to me because he disagrees with my political views (I'm too far to the right of the far right”). What was copied was not a big deal at all, but it made me realize that I need to make sure that I am up to snuff on the creative commons license, which I thought was assumed that all blogs are under. Anyway, I have my copyright posted on the main page of my blog now, on the right sidebar, so there are no excuses any more. If you're going to copy text from my blog, please either cite me or cite the source I got it from if it wasn't original to me. It's just good etiquette.

I never heard of this “Creative Common” license, I shall have to check it out. Most certainly anything written or created by you is protected by copyright law and is your property, even if it is posted on the web.
